Denis Hayes-Coordinator of first Earth Day-Part 2

Tune in to part two of my interview with Denis Hayes, the coordinator of the first Earth Day. He talks about that day back in 1970 when he started the morning with a sunrise ceremony with Native Americans. What group of people do you think rose to the challenge and helped create the awareness and movement of “Earth Day?” Watch and find out.

Denis Hayes-coordinator of the first Earth Day-Part 1

I journeyed north to Seattle in January to meet with Denis Hayes, the coordinator of the first Earth Day. He is now President of the Bullitt Foundation. Denis grew up in Camas, WA and I wanted to talk to Denis about his experience coordinating that first Earth Day back in 1970. How did it happen? What did he learn? How did this opportunity present itself? Listen in as Denis shares his story and how you need to grab the brass ring, when the ring is there. I hope this interview inspires you to take chances, look outside the box and think of what YOU can do to make a difference somewhere in the world. This is part 1 of a 6 part series.

Camas Montessori School

I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with Donna Hargrave, school administrator at the Camas Montessori School. We talked about the Montessori philosophy. Do you know what sensorial education is? There are so many AMAZING ways for little ones to learn at this school! A great option in our community…they are truly teaching a wonderful education, but they are also instilling and teaching beautiful skills for life. Camas Montessori-check it out!

The historic Camas Hotel

Located right in our sweet downtown Camas is the historic Camas Hotel. I had such a wonderful time sitting down with Terri Sauer, owner of the Camas Hotel, and learning about what they have to offer while seeing the lovely rooms. A fabulous option for a night away or for the in-laws when they come into town. Maybe you are passing thru headed to the Gorge or maybe you want a hotel that is nestled in a great town with cozy coffee shops, art galleries to explore and so much more. I’m certain that the Camas Hotel will be an option you won’t regret. Check it out and book your room today. LIKE and SHARE this interview to win a FREE night at the Camas Hotel.
