I journeyed north to Seattle in January to meet with Denis Hayes, the coordinator of the first Earth Day. He is now President of the Bullitt Foundation. Denis grew up in Camas, WA and I wanted to talk to Denis about his experience coordinating that first Earth Day back in 1970. How did it happen? What did he learn? How did this opportunity present itself? Listen in as Denis shares his story and how you need to grab the brass ring, when the ring is there. I hope this interview inspires you to take chances, look outside the box and think of what YOU can do to make a difference somewhere in the world. This is part 1 of a 6 part series.
Special thanks to Double Pixel Studios for their amazing video and edit work.
I’m sure you’ve been hearing about the big CEF auction happening February 27th at the Sheraton Hotel at 5:00pm. Well, if your wondering what kinds of grants get funded from money raised from this auction, tune into my interview with Diane Loghry and hear about this great program funded for our Camas preschoolers. Check it out!
