Mental Health Awareness-The Children’s Center

I’m wrapping up my interviews for the Mental Health Awareness month of May. I had the wonderful opportunity of touring the Children’s Center and learning about what a great resource that offers specialized outpatient mental health counseling and psychiatric services for children and adolescents. They also offer services for the uninsured and underinsured. Hear about a great fundraiser luncheon with author Patrick Kennedy as the special keynote speaker on June 17th at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA. I hope one of my interviews this month has helped educate, break the stigma and start the dialogue about mental health. You are not alone. There are resources and help for you. Let’s be a community that cares and supports all.

Local therapist Sandra Hunt Bero chats with me about mental health-check it out!

Have you ever had a time in your life where you struggled with a life event happening or something from your past that kept resurfacing again and again? If you didn’t catch my interview last week, May is Mental Health Awareness month, and I am featuring some interviews this month bringing light to different aspects of mental health. This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Sandra Hunt Bero who is a local therapist specializing in child, adolescent and women’s issues. Listen in as we chat about mental health and how it can be a great source of help in times of need. Please watch and share. Together we can educate, break the stigma about mental health and start the dialogue.

There will be great music, auction items and a time to come together as a community to support this great organization. You can get tickets at the door. Let’s join in to support and bring love to communities around the world. Enjoy the pictures at the end of our interview from my service trip to Guatemala in January. See you May 24th!
