Mental Health Awareness-The Children’s Center

I’m wrapping up my interviews for the Mental Health Awareness month of May. I had the wonderful opportunity of touring the Children’s Center and learning about what a great resource that offers specialized outpatient mental health counseling and psychiatric services for children and adolescents. They also offer services for the uninsured and underinsured. Hear about a great fundraiser luncheon with author Patrick Kennedy as the special keynote speaker on June 17th at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA. I hope one of my interviews this month has helped educate, break the stigma and start the dialogue about mental health. You are not alone. There are resources and help for you. Let’s be a community that cares and supports all.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month-Let’s educate, break the stigma and start the dialogue.

Please watch this video and share it. Let’s start talking about mental illness. Did you know 1 in 5 Americans will be affected by a mental health condition in their lifetime and every American is affected or impacted through their friends and family? Take action today to help others as we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care.
