5th Grade Luncheon at Prune Hill Elementary

Last week I had to wonderful opportunity to attend the 5th grade luncheon at Prune Hill Elementary. These students got to attend a Portland Youth Philharmonic concert and then come back to their school for a formal, white linen luncheon put on by the PTA and served by their parents. Weeks leading up to this luncheon these kids went over manners, etiquette and behavior in formal dining situations. What a great gift to give these young people to go out in the world with. Hoping to inspire other elementary schools to do the same. Check it out!

Second graders from Helen Baller Elementary spreading kindness!

Yesterday these sweet second graders from Helen Baller Elementary visited Camas Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center to sing some holiday songs and put some smiles on faces of some older people in our community. It was beautiful. I couldn’t help but be moved by the kids sweet voices and the smiles on the faces of the people listening. These second graders are spreading random acts of kindness this holiday season and it’s so inspirational. I have to admit that I didn’t have my usual camera, so excuse the low quality of audio at some parts. Enjoy, and I hope this inspires you to spread kindness!
