Have you ever had a time in your life where you struggled with a life event happening or something from your past that kept resurfacing again and again? If you didn’t catch my interview last week, May is Mental Health Awareness month, and I am featuring some interviews this month bringing light to different aspects of mental health. This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Sandra Hunt Bero who is a local therapist specializing in child, adolescent and women’s issues. Listen in as we chat about mental health and how it can be a great source of help in times of need. Please watch and share. Together we can educate, break the stigma about mental health and start the dialogue.

5th Grade Luncheon at Prune Hill Elementary

Last week I had to wonderful opportunity to attend the 5th grade luncheon at Prune Hill Elementary. These students got to attend a Portland Youth Philharmonic concert and then come back to their school for a formal, white linen luncheon put on by the PTA and served by their parents. Weeks leading up to this luncheon these kids went over manners, etiquette and behavior in formal dining situations. What a great gift to give these young people to go out in the world with. Hoping to inspire other elementary schools to do the same. Check it out!
